This class will focus on building the character of the artist as well as the story they are sharing with the audience.

We will discuss the rich histories of both Drag and Burlesque and the importance of knowing where influences stem from in order to honor the history while creating your acts (Put on your Pasties!)

We will work on movement, musicality, stillness, and costuming. We will focus on timing and presence when adding stripping to our lip syncs and tip gets!
We will touch on promoting yourself, how to show up to the gig, and how to ask for the rate you are worth!

Any and all are welcomed! New King? Lets go! Been doing this already and want feedback on a new act?? Slay.

More About Switch

Known as the Panty Dropper of Burlesque, Switch the Boi Wonder has been dazzling audiences all over with their combination of drag and burlesque for over 15 years.

Switch is one of the co-producers of Notes on Masculinity: a Drag King Centered Cabaret. Switch is the Father of the Haus of Wonder and is the proud Dad of the 8 Wonders of the World.

Switch is most passionate about using the stage to be visible for trans and non-binary humans, for it was finding Drag and stripping in front of strangers (haha) that gave them the courage to live authentically themselves.

This class is for performers at any level who want to get serious about their movement in heels. We work on walks, transitions, stage presence, and the kind of specificity and clarity that separates someone who knows the steps from someone who owns the room.

Each class breaks down technique and builds it into choreography — with an emphasis on storytelling, intentionality, and performing with your whole body, not just your feet. Whether you’ve never worn a heel or you’re already working professionally, you’ll be met where you are and pushed forward.

All levels. All styles. Come ready to train.

Let’s be real: Burlesque is so much more than a killer tease and a costume drop. It’s a somatic powerhouse and a massive platform for social impact. This class is all about the internal reveal—the stuff that happens under the skin before the first glove even comes off.

Whether you’re a newbie finding your stage legs or a seasoned pro ready for a career reset, we’re going on a "journey back to self." We’re moving past the "how-to" of choreography and getting into the "why-to" of your art. It’s time to re-imagine your role as a performer, an artist, and a powerful advocate for yourself and your community.

What we’re diving into:

  • The Trinity of the Gut: Learning to listen when your Mind, Body, and Soul finally agree. (That’s your intuition talking!)

  • Shifting the Narrative: Let’s stop trying to control everything. We’re practicing the art of Listen, Acknowledge, and Accept.

  • Professionalism = Self-Love: Forget the old-school hustle. We’re redefining "pro" through Care, Trust, and Honest Communication.

  • Impact over Intent: We’re auditing our platforms to make sure we’re amplifying the right voices and ditching patterns that don’t serve the collective.

  • Being Your Own Bestie: Learning when resistance is a sign to "push through" or universes signal to "pause and listen."

Grab your journal and let’s feel it out!
