 Policies

The Rose Academy of Burlesque strives to be an inclusive space, and we welcome adults of all ages, gender expressions, races, and abilities. These policies are intended to be clear and forthcoming to our guests, staff, and renters. If you have questions or concerns about anything in our policies, please contact us for clarification. These policies are subject to change at any time.

In-Person, Virtual Class, Workshop, On Demand, and Private Lesson Policies

  • Fees are due at the time of registration for all in-person classes, virtual classes, workshops, on-demand products, and private lessons.

  • Fees are not refundable, and cannot be transferred to another individual or applied to a different class or product. 

  • Registration for virtual classes will close 15 minutes before class starts. All virtual classes open 5 minutes before the scheduled start time, and will close entry at the scheduled start time. Registered students who miss this window will not be refunded for their class fees.

  • For all virtual classes, workshops, and on demand subscriptions, you will receive an email after payment with a Zoom link for your product. It is your responsibility to save this email. If you do not receive an email before class please contact us here.

  • We offer payment plans for the convenience of our students. If you have selected a payment plan, you will be invoiced for the second payment approximately halfway through the session. The second payment will be due whether or not you are still attending class. 

  • If an in-person class, virtual class or workshop is canceled due to weather or the absence of an instructor, fees will be refunded to the account or card from which they originated. Refunds will not be issued by cash, check, or any other form.

  • Individual in-person classes virtual classes, and workshops may be canceled or rescheduled as required based on the needs of the Rose Academy and individual instructors. Best efforts will be made to ensure that rescheduled classes accommodate the majority of students.

  • Private lessons must be redeemed within one year of purchase date.

  • Recordings and class materials may not be saved, distributed, broadcast, or shared except by or with the explicit permission of The Rose Academy of Burlesque.

  • We strive to make in-person classes, virtual classes, and on demand classes as accessible as possible. Please contact us in advance with accessibility needs. 

  • Unless otherwise specified, all in-person classes, virtual classes, and on demand classes are intended for the sole participation of the registered student. Each participant must be a registered student.

Studio Policies

  • Rose Academy staff, students, and visitors will respect all pronouns and gender expressions. Through our actions and art, we actively dismantle bigotry, cultural appropriation, ableism, racism, transphobia, sex worker phobia, body shaming, diet talk, and talk of intentional weight loss.

  • Street shoes must be removed and placed neatly in the hallway outside the studio.

  • The Rose Academy of Burlesque reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. 

  • Commercial tobacco use in any form is not permitted.

  • Alcohol use is not permitted without prior arrangements.

  • Illegal drug use is not permitted.

  • Firearms are not permitted.

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to use Rose Academy of Burlesque facilities.

  • All students, renters, and visitors must sign a liability waiver before participating in any Rose Academy activities.

  • We strive to make our space as accessible as possible. Our building includes an elevator and an ADA-compliant restroom, and accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us in advance with accessibility needs. 

  • The Rose Academy of Burlesque is in a mixed-use building with close neighbors. Please respect our environment by keeping music to a reasonable volume and refraining from excessive noise in shared spaces.
