Every(body) Wants to Be a Showgirl - Juneteenth Jubilee Edition

A living tribute to Black burlesque artistry in the Twin Cities — past, present, and becoming.

Every(body) Wants to Be a Showgirl is a Black-led, community-informed, and ethically curated traveling exhibition celebrating the artistry, cultural power, and living legacy of Black burlesque performers across North America and beyond.

This June, the exhibition arrives in Minneapolis for its Juneteenth Jubilee Edition — honoring the Twin Cities performance community and the rich legacy of Black burlesque performers who have helped build and sustain this art form. Through costumes, archival materials, immersive installations, live performances, and community programming, EWTBAS centers living artists while honoring the lineage that came before them.

Curated by Aquarius Moon & Metro Cabaret Club | Every(body) Wants to Be a Showgirl © 2026
