Releasing Your Inner Tigress is a burlesque movement class designed to help you embody strength, grace, and unapologetic self-expression.

Through sultry walks, powerful poses, fluid movement, and playful choreography, you'll explore the art of commanding attention and building stage presence.

This class focuses on intentional movement, musicality, stage presence, and connecting with your inner fire—whether you're brand new to burlesque or an experienced performer looking to deepen your performance skills.

Come dressed in clothing that makes you feel good and allows for movement. 

Heels are welcome but not required. Non-slip socks are preferred over bare feet.

No dance experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity, and a willingness to let your inner tigress roar.

In order to help make Releasing Your Inner Tigress with Valerie Veils at the Rose Academy of Burlesque on Nov. 1, 12:30-1:30pm more accessible, we are holding 2 class participant spots for individuals who identify in at least one of the following categories: (1) BIPOC, (2) indigenous and/or tribal enrolled, and/or (3) are individuals who need financial assistance.

Individuals selected as a result of this form will be given a free class spot. Two class spots are available, and will be distributed via drawing if interest exceeds 2 individuals.

More About Valerie:
Valerie Veils is an internationally renowned, award-winning burlesque performer who has been dazzling audiences up and down the West Coast for over a decade. This tattooed tart delivers a true trifecta of tease—commanding the stage with graceful elegance, sultry satire, and raw animal magnetism—earning her a reputation as one of the best powerhouse performers around.

Dubbed “The Heroine of the Hoochie Coo,” Valerie has graced stages at festivals across the country, including the coveted Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender and Viva Las Vegas. Most recently, she was awarded the title of “Most Dazzling” while competing for the title of Mx Exotic World 2026 at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender. Her accolades include Duchess of Viva Las Vegas (2021), Most Classic at the Hollywood Burlesque Festival (2023), and Princess of Imperial Burlesque Canada (2023).

Beyond the spotlight, Valerie is the founder and producer of the PNW Burlesque Festival and PNW Burlesque Productions in Olympia/Tacoma, Washington, and co-producer of Best Coast Burlesque in Santa Cruz, California. She has taught burlesque since 2016 in Olympia Washington including Burlesque 101 and has introduced over 50+ new performers to the stage.

Discover what it means to make ‘em wait for it. How do you draw your audience in? Build tension? Satisfy that tension or leave them thirsting for more? In this workshop, you will receive personalized feedback and delve into the connection between sensual embodiment and deep musicality. You will learn a sequence of movements, and then have space to play with the sequence to different music and with freestyle prompts. Beginners welcome! Heels optional.

How do YOU work the floor? And get back up when you’re done? In this course, I will support you to partner your body, re-framing “roadblocks” to sensual movement in and out of the floor as the building blocks of your personal style. This course is designed to leave tons of space for individual attention and to help you build the framework you need to make sensual floor movement werk for you. Beginners welcome! Heels optional, kneepads and a shirt that covers your shoulders recommended.
